Ingredients: 8 oz angel hair pasta, about 8 sun dried tomatoes (sliced), 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 6oz can (or pouch) tuna in oil (olive oil preferably), 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese and 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (more or less depending on how much spice you want).
At home: Mix all spices and cheese in a small plastic bag. Repackage angel hair (break in half) and sun dried tomatoes into plastic bags.
At camp: Put water in with sun dried tomatoes to soak. Boil water and cook pasta (about 4-5 minutes for pasta). Drain water from pasta and sun dried tomatoes away from camp and at least 150 ft from all water sources. Add all ingredients to pasta and stir. Simple, quick, doesn't weigh much or use a lot of fuel to cook! Feeds 2 starving hikers or 3 - 4 average eaters (depending on sides and desert availability).
On the side: I usually bake cheesy garlic rolls with this dish in my back packing oven. The rolls come in a "just add water" package from Bisquick and are really tasty.
